My primary research thus far has centered on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). In looking at consumer willingness to pay for organic produce, as well as the decisions behind starting a CSA, I touch on issues of public policy and food access. Direct marketing such as CSAs can have positive effects on consumer health by increasing the availability of fresh produce to the consumer. My research can add insight into the decision making process of consumers and farmers, which should help in the design of effective public policy.
