Primary Food Innovation Center Area: Food Strategy and Policy
We can use science and technology to produce healthier and more plentiful crops, but unless we can move them safely and cost-efficiently, we cannot break the poverty cycle. This, in part, is a logistics problem and I will provide that expertise to the Center. My husband and I raised money to build a water-well in Kenya, then visited the village to see it and meet the people it serves; strengthening my resolve to help others access basic needs like food and water. The Center will provide a fantastic opportunity to combine my professional interest in logistics with my personal interest in doing good to change the world!
