FIC extends Student Travel Award Program for 2012-2013 academic year
The Food Innovation Center is pleased to announce the extension of the Graduate Student Travel Award program for the 2012-2013 academic year. The awards are designed to help students travel to professional meetings and conferences of national or international significance. For more details please view the program RFA. Awards are up to $500 per graduate student with a required 1:1 match of the requested amount, guaranteed by the student’s advisor. Note that this award is only available for students under supervision of a current FIC Faculty Member (as of the application deadline for each funding round).

Designing the Future of Food Innovation
In post-industrial Ohio, residents in urban areas face accumulating vacant land and multiple barriers to food security. Residents of urban areas are experiencing unemployment and inadequate access to basic food sources such as fresh fruits and vegetables. Food Innovation Center member and Assistant Professor in the Knowlton School of Architecture, Katherine Bennett, decided to take initiative towards empowering the community. Read more...
