Areas of Expertise: salmonella, E. coli, gnotobiotic, microbiome
We study how Salmonella interacts and competes with the normal flora, coordinates metabolism and virulence, and causes disease. We are also interested in how Salmonella persists in the environment, invades and survives within plants, and how food affects infectious dose.
