My research interests include identification of novel obesity-associated genes expressed in adipose tissue using functional genomics approaches, and an investigation on the effects of various nutrients in plant foods on the development of adipose tissue. Thus, my research will give new insights on the influence of adipose-specific genes and nutrients on obesity, paving the way to treating obesity with new therapeutic approaches.
