Law is an important component of food production. I will contribute to the mission of the FIC by providing legal expertise on food safety and food production issues, from both the food production and policy perspectives. I hope to collaborate with others to include legal issues and legal analysis in multi-disciplinary approaches to sustainable food solutions. My particular research interests relate to helping food producers reduce legal risks attendant to food production and addressing land use policies that affect food production and food systems.
