My research has encompassed the production and consumption of foods in rural and urban India. Currently, I am looking at the economics of Walmart entry in countries like India and its impacts on food production, processing, distribution, and pricing. In the US, I have interests on local food production/consumption, nutrition, and safety of food channels. All these research activities can potentially contribute to FIC mission.
