Dr. Lin's research is focused on evaluating the effects of dietary agents in fruits and vegetables including ursolic acid, sulforaphane, curcumin, quercetin, Luteolin, capsaicin, and others either by single agent alone or in combination on the IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathway in human cancer cells. The ultimate goal is to use this knowledge to develop novel therapeutic approaches for patients with cancer and improve upon existing therapies as well as to develop chemo-preventative approaches to potentially reduce cancer incidence. Our research focus should contribute the mission of Food Innovation Center.
