Areas of Expertise: perinatal nutrition, infant nutrition, infant feeding, antioxidants, oxidative stress
I will contribute by participating with colleagues in the health sciences to address food insecurity and food and feeding behaviors. My past research has included dietary assessments, anthropometric measurements, macro- and micro-nutrient analysis, and nutrition and behavioral aspects of women during pregnancy and parenting. I have explored the association of lipids and homocysteine and complications of pregnancy, especially preeclampsia and preterm birth. I am a co-investigator on projects that address health teaching related to nutrition and food preparation in women of childbearing age.
