As an active food scientist and processing engineer I will contribute to the mission of the Food Innovation Center through highly applied research focusing on water, energy, and chemical use reduction in the processing plant. As a research associate focusing on optimizing processing steps I feel as though the research performed in my laboratory is innovative and beneficial for food processors and the environment simultaneously, making my position and passion ideal for Food Innovation Center membership.
