I perform biomedical research in the area of sleep apnea, diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular diseases, all of which are inter-related. My research background empowers me to make a meaningful contribution toward the FIC mission by conducting research in the area of genetically engineered foods and food safety policy. While conducting research, I would focus on innovative methods for developing healthy, nutritious and sustainable food varieties for the ever-increasing world population, which continues to experience food shortages due to ineffective food safety policies. With my publications, I would draw attention toward corporate social responsibility and fair international food trade and policies.
