I will contribute to the FIC by working as part of a professional group that has a mission to promote adaptive parent/child eating dynamics. These dynamics (a) encourage children to use their hunger and satiety cues to regulate their food intake (and thus not eat in the absence of hunger) and (b) help parents select healthy food options for their children. These strategies will promote well-being, low discord, and low food preoccupation among families.
