Areas of Expertise: food access, food justice, social justice, neighbourhood and community development, urban food system planning
My research focuses on urban food systems and addresses food access, social justice, regional governance and community economic development. Prior to joining OSU, I served on the Boards of Directors of community housing development organizations, worked with local grassroots food advocacy groups in Kentucky and Florida and, co-organised an interdisciplinary symposium on social justice. My research also entails studies on food access and community development in the Caribbean and Central America.
