I view the food safety issue from a spatial perspective where the spatial distribution and flow of food, as well as movement and interaction of individual humans take place. My expertise could contribute to the mission of the center by bringing spatial analysis and modeling methodology to exploring the spatial dimension of food safety. Specifically, I am interested in mapping spatial patterns of food distribution and understanding food-related spatial processes through agent-based models.
