I am interested in using food and nutrition to prevent chronic diseases. I am currently a PhD student in the College of Public Health, Division of Epidemiology. My MPH is in health promotion and my long term goal is to utilize my skillset from epidemiology to inform health promotion activities in underserved areas of the community. Prior to coming to the field of public health my background was as a basic scientist, and I hope to work on projects focusing on the translation of laboratory studies into the clinic or population.
