FIC Member Brian Ahmer Receives $2.7 Million NIH Grant on Salmonella Research

Brian AhmerA new, five-year $2.7 million NIH grant allows a team of researchers to continue promising work on Salmonella colonization resistance, and fructose-asparagine. Led by FIC member Brian Ahmer, associate professor of microbiology; and microbial, infection and immunity, the team includes Venkat Gopalan, professor of chemistry and biochemistry; Edward Behrman, professor emeritus of chemistry and biochemistry; Vicki Wysocki, Ohio Eminent Scholar and professor of chemistry and biochemistry; and Kelly Wrighton, assistant professor of molecular genetics.
